

Roberta Russell is a Geologist with over 12 years of experience in environmental consulting. She received her MS in Geology from Texas A&M University, with an emphasis on geochemistry and mineralogy involving sulfide acid mine drainage. Roberta also holds a Professional Geologist’s license in Texas.
Roberta’s professional experience includes developing site strategies, performing multimedia site investigations, remediation planning and implementation and technical assessments such as natural attenuation and source evaluations. Her work experience also includes baseline geologic and hydrogeologic assessments for Texas lignite mines, acid groundwater seep studies, mine dewatering, mine reclamation issues, coal combustion residual (CCR) geochemistry, and Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) surface mining regulatory permitting. She has extensive experience working with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) on site assessment and remediation projects that are administered under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP), and RRC Operator Cleanup and Voluntary Cleanup programs.
