Stella Shao, EIT CPSWQ QSP/D is a staff engineer with GSI Environmental Inc. She received a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from University of California, Irvine in 2013 and a B.S in Environmental Engineering from Tongji University (Shanghai, China) in 2011. Stella has over 5 years of experience in stormwater management and has worked extensively at and with regional board, municipalities, sanitation districts, local research agencies and consulting firms on matters related to industrial/municipal National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) compliance support, Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) development and reporting, hydrology analysis, policy and regulatory analysis, fecal contamination source investigation, Low Impact Development (LID), water quality monitoring and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) development. Stella is specialized in data analysis using R, fecal indicator bacteria TMDL issues and 303(d) list evaluation (water quality impairment analysis). She is also a Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ) and a Construction General Permit Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD).
