Ms. Welch is a Geologist with GSI in Austin, Texas. She received a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 2020 and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Texas A&M University in 2017. While earning her Master’s degree, Ms. Welch gained experience in the mining industry, evaluating gypsum deposits in southwestern Oklahoma. Prior to joining GSI, she performed karst surveys and geologic assessments, focusing on identifying sensitive karst features and potential habitat for endangered karst invertebrates in central Texas. She has also contributed to groundwater resource management projects, working with groundwater management areas and groundwater conservation districts. Ms. Welch’s project experience includes Phase I ESAs, geologic logging, and development of habitat conservation plans.
