EFFICIENT SITE CHARACTERIZATION

GSI’s expert geochemists, hydrogeologists, geologists, and biologists develop and conduct characterization studies to aid in water resource management, regulatory compliance, dewatering, water treatment planning and efficacy, waste rock handling, construction planning, and mitigation planning. Among other efficiencies, our expert scientists develop and employ field methods for classifying mine materials, allowing rapid decisions for proper handling. Specialized hydrogeologic techniques include numerical groundwater modeling, 3D geologic modeling, isotopic analyses, dewatering/infiltration/ hydraulic testing, unsaturated zone evaluations, and active/passive groundwater remediation systems.
