Abstract
Article impact statement: Recharge is a fundamental control on groundwater flow and contaminant mass flux, and its spatial and temporal variability deserves greater emphasis in contaminated-site conceptual models. A practical framework is provided for incorporating recharge into source prioritization, mass-discharge estimates, and remedial decision-making, with particular relevance to PFAS sites.
