Dr. Amandeep Singh is a Professional Engineer and Senior Hydrogeologist at GSI office in Irvine. He has more than 15 years of experience years of experience working as a consultant, in academia, research, and as a government regulator. His primary expertise is in the application of computationally efficient tools to water resources and environmental problems by using modeling, optimization, calibration, and uncertainty analysis.
Dr. Singh is experienced in implementation of data analytic/machine learning methods for interpretation and analysis of hydrogeologic and hydrologic data with numerical hydrologic/groundwater models to support a decision support system (DSS) framework. He has developed conceptual site models and numerical models at mining facilities for environmental geoscience needs, hydrogeologic characterizations, effect assessment, water resources, reclamation, remediation or closure. His modeling experience includes development of flow and contaminant-transport, density-dependent, multi-phase flow, surface water and coupled surface-groundwater models. In addition to modeling, Dr. Singh has successfully led projects involving geostatistical mapping, water balances, environmental site/impact assessment, groundwater sustainable yield analysis, water sampling, data analysis for future water demand and availability.
With his academic, regulatory and professional experience in variety of water resources system projects, Dr. Singh brings unique problem-solving skills to provide efficient solutions for projects involving hydrologic and groundwater modeling, cost allocation, insurance litigation, remediation, and groundwater resources.
