Katlyn Schmeltzer is an Environmental Engineer with GSI Environmental, Inc. in Houston, TX. She received her BS in Chemistry from Rice University in May 2024 and a Master of Civil and Environmental Engineering in May 2025. Her research at Rice included battery cathode design and regeneration, power system resilience amid climate change, and machine learning for streamflow prediction. At GSI, Katlyn has worked on a variety of projects including litigation support, research and development, and data analysis.
