

Ms. Pfister is a Principal Scientist at GSI in Helena, Montana. She has more than 25 years of experience in natural resource planning, permitting, impact assessment, and regulatory compliance for both mining and other natural resource-based sectors. Over the last 15 years her primary expertise has been in providing permitting and regulatory consulting services to domestic and international mining clients and has also successfully supported permitting of a large-scale linear project in Montana.
Ms. Pfister’s roles have included providing strategic planning and direct permitting support to clients pursuing both new projects and expansions or amendments of existing sites, as well as supporting compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and state level environmental policy acts. She has solid experience in working with various state agencies and federal agencies, including offices of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and U.S. Forest Service (USFS) to help clients successfully navigate permitting processes and meet ongoing regulatory requirements.
Ms. Pfister has also completed a range of social and economic impact assessments, due diligence projects, management plans, and other planning efforts to assist clients in complying with their regulatory requirements, internal environmental, social, and governance (ESG) corporate standards, policies, and procedures, as well as international best practices such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards and Equator Principles.
