Mr. Simpson is an environmental scientist with experience supporting industrial facilities throughout California under the California Industrial General Permit. His expertise includes Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) development, Exceedance Response Action (ERA) reporting, stormwater sampling, analytical laboratory QA/QC, regulatory reporting, and bench-scale testing evaluations.
Mr. Simpson has prepared and implemented SWPPPs, developed Level 1 and Level 2 ERA technical reports, managed compliance reporting through SMARTS and CIWQS, and conducted pollutant source assessments, drainage evaluations, and BMP effectiveness reviews. He has also prepared technical evaluations supporting Notice of Non-Applicability (NONA) determinations, including water balance modeling, infiltration analyses, and supporting regulatory documentation.
In addition, Mr. Simpson has conducted storm event sampling, analytical data validation, and bench-scale treatment studies evaluating stormwater BMPs and treatment technologies. His combination of field experience, regulatory knowledge, and technical analysis allows him to develop practical compliance strategies and effective solutions for industrial clients.
