Ms. Zualuf is a Senior Engineer with over 27 years of experience in due diligence and environmental risk management. Her work has included Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESA), designing and conducting investigations to characterize soil vapor, groundwater, and soil impacts (Phase II), conducting feasibility studies and remedy selection, operation and performance monitoring of remediation systems, and obtaining regulatory closure at manufacturing and warehouse facilities, dry cleaners, and redevelopment sites. She has worked under state and local regulatory agency oversight. Remediation approaches have included excavation, high-vacuum dual-phase and soil vapor extraction systems, and in‑situ approaches (injection of oxidant, surfactants, and bioremediation products). Typical issues at these sites include impacts from volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as trichloroethylene (TCE) and tetrachloroethylene (PCE), 1,4-dioxane, petroleum hydrocarbons, and metals. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in civil engineering from University of California, Irvine.
