Ms. Curtis is Senior Associate Geologist with GSI Environmental Inc. (GSI) with 25+ years of experience managing environmental remediation projects involving chemically impacted soil and groundwater. She received a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of California at Berkeley. She is a registered Professional Geologist in California, and her work has included environmental site assessment and investigation for characterization of soil, soil vapor, and groundwater at commercial and industrial facilities impacted with metals, volatile organic compounds, total petroleum hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls, etc., as well as the design, selection, and implementation of various remedial cleanup strategies based on the results of initial characterization. Additional areas of experience include environmental litigation support, regulatory agency interaction, numerical groundwater modeling, and extensive data analysis and report writing.
