

Dr. Sasaki is the Corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Director at GSI, with over a decade of experience leading EHS initiatives across academic institutions and private industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Sasaki began his career at UCLA, where he managed chemical safety, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance in a high-volume research environment. He later advanced to EHS leadership roles in the private sector, overseeing nationwide safety programs for L3Harris Technologies and Avon Protection. His work focused on standardizing EHS systems, strengthening regulatory compliance, and building safety-focused cultures across multiple sites.
At GSI, Dr. Sasaki leads corporate-wide EHS strategy, collaborating across teams to embed safety into daily operations and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. His background includes injury rate reduction, implementation of innovative safety practices, and the development of robust compliance frameworks to support organizational goals.
