RBCA Tool Kit for Atlantic Canada (version 4e)

Atlantic Risk-Based Corrective Action (Atlantic RBCA) is a process to assess and manage the remediation of sites impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons and other contaminants in Atlantic Canada. The implementation and maintenance of Atlantic RBCA is overseen by the Atlantic Partnership in Risk-Based Corrective Action Implementation (Atlantic PIRI).

The RBCA Tool Kit for Atlantic Canada is a region-specific customization of GSI’s popular RBCA Tool Kit for Chemical Releases software. It is designed to complete the calculations required for Tiers 1 and 2 of the Atlantic RBCA protocol, including harmonization with the 2008 Canada-Wide Standard for Petroleum Hydrocarbons in Soil (CWS-PHC) developed by the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME). The RBCA Tool Kit for Atlantic Canada utilizes default parameters, modeling options, and chemical data consistent with Version 4 of the Atlantic RBCA User Guidance Documentation.

Software Features

This software is a comprehensive modeling and risk characterization package for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Atlantic RBCA evaluations for petroleum release sites. The RBCA Tool Kit combines contaminant transport models and risk assessment tools to calculate baseline risk levels and derive Site Specific Target Levels (SSTLs) for a full array of soil, groundwater, and air exposure pathways. The ease-of-use and streamlined graphical interface make it an essential tool for handling Atlantic RBCA calculations for both simple and sophisticated problems.

Risk-based evaluation of groundwater, surface water, surface soil, outdoor air and indoor air exposure pathways. Includes default exposure parameters for residential/agricultural and commercial/industrial land use scenarios and accommodates user-defined receptors.
