TRRP Training: 2022 Program

presented by: GSI Environmetal Inc.

Texas Risk Reduction Program regulations (TRRP; 30 TAC 350) establish consistent risk-based protocols for assessment and response to soil, groundwater, or surface water impacts associated with environmental releases of regulated wastes or substances.

Presented by GSI Environmental Inc., this popular and informative training series is a must for professionals who need a working understanding of TRRP and those needing to stay up-to-date with the latest TCEQ TRRP guidance and policies.

TRRP Training Course (2 Days): Provides an overview of the TRRP framework and step-by-step training on property assessment and response action procedures established under the TRRP rule

Attendees will become acquainted with rules, key guidance and policies covering affected property assessments, protective concentration levels, and response actions. The course material presents strategies for efficient project management in compliance with TRRP and explains the various report forms adopted by TCEQ.

GSI ENVIRONMENTAL: THE STORMWATER COMPLIANCE EXPERTS YOU NEED.

Our team brings decades of collective experience in solving complicated stormwater quality challenges. GSI has provided stormwater permit compliance, engineering, and expert support to hundreds of facilities. GSI has the stormwater compliance experts you need.

Guidance To Compliance

Through our work with facilities covered under general stormwater NPDES Permits and individual NPDES Permits, we have developed a variety of effective compliance strategies. Most of our clients are required to meet stringent discharge standards including benchmarks, numeric action levels (NALs), or water quality-based effluent limits. GSI regularly provides these clients with training, stormwater sampling, and reporting support. Our stormwater team also prepares action plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), and exceedance response action (ERA) technical reports.

Accessing Your Data

GSI has an established system to manage data. We import laboratory electronic data deliverables (EDDs) into our database for export into site-specific data summary tables. This allows for efficient management and review of data for discussion with clients. Analytical results—along with site-specific compliance documents—are housed in GSI’s Stormwater Management Web Portal. Through the portal, clients have access to current and historical analytical results, compliance documents (e.g., SWPPP, ERA Reports/Plans, annual reports), and GSI inspection summaries.

Innovating Beyond Compliance

Complex stormwater compliance challenges require innovative engineering approaches, evaluations, and solutions. GSI engineers conduct hydraulic/hydrologic evaluations and modeling, perform bench-scale treatability testing to evaluate pollutant removal using various media/techniques, and design stormwater capture, conveyance, and treatment systems to treat varying pollutants to acceptable levels. In addition to performing in-situ infiltration testing, we specialize in evaluating site-specific soil and groundwater conditions to assess facilities for infiltration suitability. We have designed stormwater infiltration systems such as basins, shallow infiltration galleries and deep infiltration drywells. We also design appropriate pretreatment facilities based on potential pollutant sources and prepare monitoring programs to minimize the risks associated with infiltrating stormwater.

Legal Expertise

GSI provides expert consulting services to support industrial clients responding to Clean Water Act Citizen Suit claims from third-party environmental groups and regulatory agency enforcement actions. We have successfully negotiated the technical aspects of dozens of settlements and consent agreements, gaining valuable insights along the way. Our team applies these insights when evaluating compliance programs and providing recommendations to our clients.

Certified for Stormwater

GSI has assembled a highly qualified team to support clients’ specific compliance needs. Our services are provided by experienced stormwater practitioners with requisite certifications, including Professional Civil and Geotechnical Engineers, Professional Geologists, Qualified Industrial Stormwater Practitioners (QISPs), QISP Trainers of Record (ToRs), Qualified SWPPP Practitioners/Developers (QSPs/QSDs), Certified Professionals in Stormwater Quality (CPSWQs), and Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESCs.
