

Dr. Albert Chung is a Principal Engineer at GSI Environmental Inc. He received a PhD in Chemical Engineering and an MS in Chemical Engineering from UCLA, as well as a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Since 2009, Dr. Chung has managed and overseen the development of corporate climate strategies for a variety of clients.
His expertise includes GHG emissions quantification, GHG verification and assurance, climate transition planning, life cycle assessments (LCAs), and compliance with various supply chain and customer sustainability requirements. He has been the lead auditor in over 70 GHG verification projects annually and is an accredited Lead GHG Verifier in states with cap-and-trade programs such as California, Oregon, and Washington.
Dr. Chung has provided consultancy on projects related to developing and calculating auditable GHG inventories and determining supportable and justifiable decarbonization plans. He has played a critical role in helping companies incorporate climate strategies into their business operations that not only mitigate climate change risk but also adds business value.
Dr. Chung has authored or co-authored numerous technical publications and guidance documents on topics such as GHG verification and assurance, climate transition planning, and life cycle assessments. He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences and webinars, sharing his knowledge on corporate climate strategy and value driven sustainability initiatives.
