REMEDIAL INVESTIGATIONS AND FEASIBILITY STUDIES

Utilizing drone surveys, GSI can leverage computer vision applications to classic field crew-based surveys for site assessment.

Timely, cost-effective, and environmentally sound solutions are the central goal of GSI’s contaminated sediment remediation projects. By integrating detailed site knowledge with risk assessment principles, we ensure that data collection and analysis stays on track to achieve overall remedial action objectives.

GSI offers services for study design, implementation, and data/lab management.

From an initial site walk and physical characterization to accurate descriptions of the key chemical and biological components our team applies pragmatic tools for site characterization. This process starts with the compilation publicly available information and data for the site (digital characterization) which allows us to proceed in a focused manner ensuring all data collected adds-value to the project.

In some instances site require additional characterization to address concerns impacted by processes operating over short time scales. GSI offers a range of tools for high resolution monitoring both in water and upland that provide key data for a host of metrics including tidal impacts, biogeochemical indicators, and particle transport.

Effect Conceptual Site Models (CSMs) rely on proper Site Characterization

At the heart of effective remedial planning is an accurate and we understood CSM. Our multi-disciplined team integrates the different components of the site investigation to provide a single, insightful CSM to support remedy selection and planning for remedial monitoring.

FEATURED PROJECTS

Remediation Design Integrated with Redevelopment

Chick-Fil-A, Hollywood, California

GSI implemented a remedial design and implementation plan which accounted for site improvements including new utility lines, parking and landscaping areas, main restaurant structure, and drive through areas. The project remained on schedule and on-budget by installing the remediation system concurrently with construction.
